I spotted these products in the organic section of our local Kroger the other day:
It's a little tough to make out from the picture, but two of their product lines are "Ezekiel 4:9" and "Genesis 1:29." I was intrigued. It turns out they are from the Food For Life company. I assumed that this was an Evangelical mission intent on selling its message as much as its foods, but their website says surprisingly little about religion except for a couple biblical quotations, the dove and olive branch in their header, and a note that the initial business was "inspired by the Scripture." I'm wondering if this is just another marketing campaign that happens to be aimed at Christians (and perhaps Jews) or if it is something less assuming.
I didn't buy any of the products.
